Claire is trapped in her house with Sylar, in a horror film type setting. After a small pep talk from Sylar he uses his power to cut open her head. She pokes around her brain to find what makes her tick, while talking to her. He finds what he was looking for and some sort of extra brain functions along with Claire’s abilities. Sylar makes it clear, that now neither of them will ever be able to die.
“Are you going to eat it,” Claire
“Am I going to eat your brain? Claire that’s disgusting.” Sylar
Ando and Hiro are rolling in the dough as Hiro inherited all of his fathers money and business. Hiro seemingly feels his destiny is lost with his fathers life, receives a DVD from his father explaining his destiny was to protect half of a secretive formula. Hiro quickly looses the formula; however, to a girl with super speed.
Mohinder creates a solution and formula that may create superhero abilities in everyone that is injected with it.
The cliffhanger left at the end of season two was quickly answered as they showed a futuristic version of Peter Patrelli shooting his brother Nathan. Present day Peter chases after his futuristic counter part and is quickly banished into nothing. Officer Matt Parkmen also is banished as he figures out that Peter is not quite himself.
Nathan comes back from the dead and becomes spiritual.
Lindermen has arose from the dead and brought Nathan back to life after being shot. (It appeared as if the futuristic Peter had actually done so earlier)
At the end of the it showed Nikki still being alive and with some Mafioso looking character. Labeling Nathan as a their “guy.”
Parkman is than shown in a desert with nothing around him.
Hiro warps to the future where he seems himself being killed b a supercharged Ando. The world once again is in an apocalyptic phase and Hiro is on a new mission to find why his friend would assassinate him.
Mohinder starts everything, by injecting himself wit the formula.
Peter Patrelli is then seen in another mans body, placed with all of the worst villains yet to be released by the heroes… but are soon to be as the villains take over.
Mohinder has now turned into a super strengthened hero.

Formula is what causes Ando to get new powers in addition to most of the population.
